Good day to all, I just received a text message this morning from the cell phone number of my friend, but it was actually her friend, Theck, who texted using her number...
She informed me that this number would no longer be active/in-use starting December 6, 2008... And through this same number, I was informed that Ms. Antonette Dungca, owner of this cell phone number, has just passed away last November 29, 2008...
She suffered from skin cancer that she bravely fought for 4 years...
She happens to be a close friend of mine who works for the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) here in Region 3... We became close because we had the same passion for New Wave music, we love watching cool US TV shows from the 80's-90's... We always had good conversations whenever I visited her at her office...
It has been 3 months or so since she took a leave of absence from work... It must have been tough, though I never got the chance to visit her at home, I was able to talk to her through text messages and it felt good when she told me I was a rare friend to find. That made me feel that I am someone, I felt I put a smile into her heart at the times when she needed some encouragement...
Let's all pray for her speedy journey on the way to heaven, hope she meets Stuart Admanson (of Big Country) and continue her love for music up there...
